The rest of the room kind of fades away and you almost don’t want to breathe, you don’t want to break the spell…

Braiding the organic with the technological,

the folk with the jazz, the skill with the emotion, singer songwriter Jen Cork seeks balance in a world where beauty can be either/both. Jen, herself, is either/both, after all.

Origins

Gravelly layered vocals, a haunted 1904 upright grand piano, lovingly curated found sounds, and carefully chosen electronic beats and loops are her studio tools.

Jen’s versatile voice is her shining star, having drawn comparisons to Rhiannon Giddens, kd Lang, and one of her biggest influences, Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls. Raised in a musical family on a diet of Elvis Presley and Joan Baez, she fell in love with piano at 6 and guitar at 13. Later influences include Billie Holiday, Linda Ronstadt, Sam Cooke, and Kate Bush.

Jen has been performing around the Northeast US for over a decade at venues such as The Burren, The Rongovian Embassy, Homer Center for the Arts, Radio Bean, Six On the Square, Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance, and Rockwood Music Hall.

Jen is currently stretching her wings as a producer in her Ithaca, NY home studio.

Jen Cork has such an amazing soulful voice with such power that the emotional impact is like a physical force from the stage.
